PODS “Minimalism” Show -August 1-17, 2019- Sky Cinema at Belterra Village. Artist’s Reception- August 01st 6:30pm

Photographers of Dripping Springs (PODS) is presenting its annual juried show at the Sky Cinema in Belterra Village located at 166 Hargraves Dr Suite A100. A public Artist’s Reception will be held on Thursday, August 1 starting at 6:30pm with food and cash bar. On the unifying theme of Minimalism, the show will run thru August 17, in the upstairs lobby of the Sky Cinema.

PODS President Warren Capps said: “This show is an effort to display the more artistic side of some of our photographers. The theme, Minimalism, is one that translates into every genre of photography. We are very proud of the diversity of talent within our club.”

PODS is grateful to our judge Timothy Sens, who selected 36 images by 17 artists for the show. Timothy has an artistic career spanning forty years, but since 2015 he moved into the exploration of contemplative and minimalistic photography. He photographs as a meditative practice that instills his imagery with a distinct quality: calling forth a heartfelt experience of stillness and beauty for the viewer. For Best in Show, he selected “Beach Geometry” by Chris Wuestefeld, with runner-up images by Patty Robertson, Nancy Hernandez, and Warren Capps.
