PODS Monthly Meeting- April 23, 2020 CANCELED

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: This is an update from the PODS Executive Board on the coronavirus situation. In an effort to minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus and support social distancing, the PODS Monthly Meeting scheduled for April 23rd has been cancelled. We are taking this step because of our commitment to keep the health and safety of our members as well as the general public at the forefront of our actions in this rapidly changing situation. We believe limiting in-person events and meetings is a prudent step at this time based on the latest guidelines from government agencies and health officials

PODS March Meeting- March 26,2020 Canceled

PODS February Meeting- February 27, 2020 6:30pm

Please join us for our February meeting. It will be on Thursday February 27, 2020 at 6:30pm. Our meetings are located at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church (Parish Hall), 301 Hays Country Acres Rd in Dripping Springs. Our meetings are always open to the public and all ages are welcome.

We’re having a special program: The Art and Practice of Contemplative Photography. In this talk, Shawn Thomas and Timothy Sens will share their experience with the practice of contemplative photography, including what it is, what it involves, and how it has affected their lives and photography. They will also discuss and share photos from the weekly photowalks taken by the group of photographers who have evolved through the practice of contemplative photography.Shawn Thomas is a speaker, researcher, and fine art photographer who uses photography as a tool for self-reflection and personal growth, and to help others discover their own path to self-mastery. In 2015, Timothy Sens moved into the exploration of contemplative and minimalistic photography and chose to devote his full attention and time to the photographic process. He is also an accomplished jewelry designer.

PODS January Meeting- January 23, 2020 6:30pm

Please join us for our first meeting of 2020 on Thursday,January 23rd starting at 6:30pm. Our meeting is located at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church (Parish Hall), 301 Hay Country Acres Rd in Dripping Springs, Texas. All of our meetings are open and free to the general public and all ages are welcome. Our guest speaker this month will be Ralph Yznaga.  A strong believer in the power of storytelling, Ralph Yznaga worked for international advertising firms in New York and Austin for over 30 years. In 2016, he co-founded an Austin-based marketing firm, ATX Nation, where he currently creates fully integrated marketing campaigns for a diverse range of clients including technology companies, restaurants and schools. In December, 2019, he became Co-owner and Associate Publisher of Edible Austin Magazine. For both companies, he works with photographers and produces his own images. For his talk, Ralph will focus on how storytelling can increase of impact of photography.
